One of the leading smartphone manufacturers HTC has recently launched their Android flagship mobile HTC Butterfly in Indian market. The device has a whopping 5-inch Super LCD 3, 1080×1920 Pixels (Full HD) display, and this is first of its kind! The trend of Full HD display will soon pick up a pace as Sony gets ready to launch Sony Xperia Z and Samsung with their legendary 4th edition of Galaxy S series, i.e. Samsung Galaxy S IV. But for now HTC Butterfly is the only smartphone with a Full HD display available.

The very first impressive thing that you notice about this device is how freakishly light it is! In spite of having a 5 inch display, it’s just a teeny bit heavier than HTC One X. And even though there is a large display screen, you won’t feel uncomfortable with your hands as on Galaxy Note. The butterfly is completely sealed, so you can’t remove the battery. And all entry points for the SIM, MicroSD card and USB are covered with a flap, which will prevent dust build-up over time.

Unlike HTC One X, Butterfly doesn’t have a unibody design, but it still look nice. The front is dominated by a Gorilla Glass 2 protective layer, and back is glossy, but it still mask finger prints well. Rear is also the home of an 8 Megapixel shooter with a LED flash. Unlike any other smartphone HTC included a notification light in the back side of Butterfly, it will have both amber and green light depending upon the notification.

HTC Butterfly runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 along with the sense of 4+ mask.

With the price tag of more than forty-five thousand, Butterfly is the most expensive Android phone available and goes head on with iPhone 5. It looks majestic, feels comfortable in hands despite of having a large screen. But Butterfly could have been better if it has a better battery life and onboard storage.
