If you are looking for a good phone under a tight budget, then Nokia is the name that I should suggest you. Many other brands like Samsung , HTC, Micromax etc are focusing on medium range phones which would worth about 6000 to 9000 INR. Nokia always produces good tight budget phones. Samsung haven’t produced any phones under 3ooo INR after their Primo and Metro.
After the release of Android operating system we all know that Nokia is now underrated at medium and high-end mobile phones (but their Lumias are doing well in the market). Android operating system has wiped out Nokia’s outdated Symbian operating system. But Nokia still holds the number one position on entry-level phones.
Nokia 206/Asha 206 is an entry-level phone in Nokia Asha series. Nokia 206 is a dual sim phone, we can preferably say this is a predecessor of earlier versions Asha 200 and Asha 201. Nokia 206 is available in vivid colours like cyan, magenta, black and white. Body of the phone is available only in 1 colour. Nokia Asha 206 is one among the best-selling entry-level phones of Nokia with Nokia 144. Nokia 206 comes with a bigger screen of 2.4 inch and basic keypad which offers a faster typing. The front side is of glossy finish and matte black finish on the back side. This one weighs about 91g which is quite less. Nokia 206 comes with a 1.3 MP primary camera with Carl Zeiss lens. Even though the camera is 1.3 MP it is able to take good photos. Camera captures images at 1280 x 960 pixel resolution. Camera is able to record videos at 15 fps which is quite decent for a budget phone. Only sim card slot is available on the side of the mobile, no volume control keys are there on either side. On the top there are two slots, one is a 3.5 mm headset jacket and another a standard Nokia charger slot. On the bottom side of the phone there is no USB port.
Nokia 206 is a good entry-level phone under a tight budget of 4ooo INR. Overall performance of Nokia Asha 206 is exciting. Internet browsing speed is quite good because Nokia xpress browser uses data compression and bluetooth transfer rate is also quite noticeable. Nokia 206 comes with Symbian S40 operating system which is quite outdated. But still users quoted this phone as the “GEM ON NOKIA MINES”. Nokia’s classic keypad enables speedy typing. Overall user reviews for this mobile is quite good, well I would like to give 4 out of 5 stars!
